Watch out for a Recently Discovered Online Snapchat Hack!

Snapchat is a very widely used and popular phone app that everyone, from your Grandma to celebrities and even the president, have been known to post ‘Snapchats’, but what if I told you a seemingly harmless snapchat could ruin your day, or if you have a bad bank, your whole month?

An online snapchat hack has been found in over a dozen instances so far and it is very disconcerting. A tech analyst said, “There’s really no way to tell if it is a dangerous snapchat if the hack has been exploited.”. It seems due to the app accessing your credit card information the hack can end up giving out your card info in just seconds while on your end it just looks like a black screen or in one case a particularly malicious hacker shared a disturbing image with text saying, “It’s too late.”. causing serious mental distress to the victim though in their case they froze the card before any purchases could be made on it fortunately.

However, sadly there’s no clear fix to this problem and experts strongly urge everyone to keep a close eye on their bank accounts as hacks like these don’t always become apparent immediately. Online snapchat hacks can happen to anyone at any time at least until Snapchat patches their system to fix this exploit and vulnerability in the system.

There have also been rumors, but no confirmed reports that there is another type of online snapchat hack that doesn’t steal your financial information, but just bricks your phone, pad, or other electronic device. Freezing as soon as the image or video loads. Since this could be utlimately a fatal error from Snapchat itself it is impossible to say even if this was proven to occur to a device if it was a hack that caused it or a freak error of the coding.
